Our Next Event – Season 2, Episode 3 – DINOSAURS!
hey’re big. They’re old. And they’re awesome.
That’s right, for this episode of Edmonton Girl Geek Dinners is about… DINOSAURS!
No, not the soury gummy candies… the massive beasts who roamed the Earth years and years ago. We’re going back to Jurassic Park times, to the land before time of Sharp Teeth and Duckie. Our guide to the prehistoric times is Victoria Arbour.
Victoria is a PhD student studying Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta, and she can tell you all about function of the tail club of ankylosaurid dinosaurs.
So come learn about dinosaurs, get your arms t-rexing, and let’s see if that show Terra Nova has any grasp of reality.

I’ll go
this is great! maybe check out some events & ideas at ACM women in computing
http://women.acm.org/
I think this is a great idea and would like to participate. Like many geek-girls or women, I have children which makes week nights tough and has been my primary issue with attending technology functions. I won’t be able to make it but will check back for the next one.
Hi Marielaina,
Thanks for your post. We certainly appreciate that many of our girl geeks are mommies too. We’re making plans for future events that take moms’ needs into consideration.
Keep checking back.
Looking forward to the next one! Looks like I found out too late and the event filled up – alas…
This is a very exciting project girls.
